Iván Sándor

Iván Sándor (b. 1930), author of twenty-nine novels volumes of prose since 1967, including eleven novels, is among Hungary’s most renowned living writers.His novel has earned critical acclaim in Germany, Austria and Switzerland as well. In a career spanning more than fifty years, Sándor has received Hungary’s highest literary honors, including the Sándor Márai Prize (2000) and the Kossuth Prize (2005).
Iván Sándor who earlier in his career was a prominent theater critic and playwright, lives in Budapest.
